Château Cambon La Pelouse wines are to have new lodgings from the 2015 vintage onwards. Having crafted wine from grape juice, we will now lodge it in 920 barrels, which are all made of French oak and selected from the best coopers. The wines will stay in these barrels for a year, giving them a wider aromatic range and helping them to age naturally as air is exchanged through the fibres of the wood.
Each barrel is chosen to lodge the wine and ensure that its quality is enhanced. We maintain ongoing relations with our partners the coopers in order to guarantee our choices.
We absolutely want the wine to continue being of paramount importance, while the barrels are simply a vehicle for improvement.
And we have absolutely no doubts about the inherent quality of this 2015 vintage! Every day it never fails to reassure us that it will contribute favourably to the dynasty of vintages that end in 5: 1985, 1995, 2005 and now 2015.
